Lawn Mower Repair Rip-Off

I was charged for a carbuerator rebuild and a gasket and filter. Total of about $135 for the alleged repair. The mower ran for about 15 minutes, shut down and would not crank again. Called and left 4 msgs. For the owner of the repair shop, Danny Murphy, my calls were never returned. I ignored the bill and in October or November his office manager called me about the bill at which time I asked her to fx me a copy.

About 4 days later I finally got a call from Danny Murphy demanding the money. I explained that I felt his shop had done an inferior repair job and that I was willing to pay him something but not the entire bill as I had to send the mower to another repair shop. He became very beligerent and verbally abusive and told me when I decided to pay the bill to call him back.
Now he is attempting to sue me in small claims court for the entire balance, plus court costs for a sloppy repair job.
