Preventing rip off

I've already, stupidly given them a total of about $3,000. I'm suppost to be starting the marketing part and have already signed agreements. Then I found all of the info about 4 days to late. I was just wondering if it is at all possible to back out of contracts and get any money back. If not what would be the best way to keep them from scamming me. They haven't done anything to me yet but I'm still waiting. I know my idea could sell if it's not already out there. And I don't trust their patent search. I wouldn't mind continuing with them as long as I can protect myself. If that's even possible.

Is it possible to have a Lawyer talk to them on my behalf or have I already signed that right away?

I would really like to get in contact with someone that can really help (ex-employees, lawyers, ex...)

Also if I backed out now could I still try to patent and sell my idea without getting sued by them?
