Does not deliver VA disability checks on date stated on envelope

VA disability checks are to be delivered on the first day of the month unless it falls on a weekend. Then the checks are to be delivered on the Friday previous to the first day of the month. I have never received my check on time while using the Santa Fe Post Office. I guess it is time for direct deposit! Even mail mailed from another Santa Fe address can take a week to be put in my box.
