Ripoff Nonexistent referral service no return calls to my messages and now phones and fax disconnected

On January 16, I was contacted by this company asking me if I wanted to be listed on their referral service for a cost $1475. This cost was for a permanent listing, with no additional yearly dues. Ostensibly, they would refer cases to me that involved a person in a battered relationship who needed to file a self-petition "green card" because the U.S. Citizen was abusing her/him. This process exists for immigrants in this situation. The company assured me that they had more than twenty cases at that time that needed representation in Massachusetts. Of course, there is never a guarantee that the client would retain me, but they did guarantee that they would refer cases to me for initial consultations. I have received nothing.
After eight months (I should have done something sooner, but schedule was overloaded), I called them. They did have a voicemail at the time, and I left a message. No response. I called one more time in September and again in October, each time leaving a message.in October, their voicemail said that their offices were temporarily closed due to the hurricanes but that they would return calls when they reopened.
Now, when I looked up their site today, I find that their site does not even contain my listing. It lists three attorneys in Massachusetts. I initially called to inquire why I have received zero referrals from their orgainzation, despite their representative Val Jones' assurances that they had cases in Massachusetts, paying clients, waiting for a referral.
Now I am trying to call their 800.646.6765 number, but it does not work, and neither does their 1-866-769-1062 number.
I believe that they are a front for a money scam, which makes them more despicable than the average money scam since they are using domestic violence as a front for their scheme.
