Ripoff dishonest dog breeder, never received papers

I am reporting a case of dishonesty and fraud. I first contacted Crystal Davis in October about a labradoodle ad in our local Big Nickel newspaper. Crystal said that the puppies would be registered with CKC and she was sending in their papers. I told her that I would rather buy from her than another breeder I had spoke with because her dogs had actual papers on them and I was interested in breeding.

The day I picked up my puppy I paid Crystal $400 and she said the CKC papers would be back any day and she would mail them to me. This was around December 1st 2003. I called Crystal about 30 days later and she said the papers on all her dogs were taking a long time to get back because CKC gets behind around the holidays. I did believe this lie.

In Feb. 2004 I called Crystal again. I was upset at this time and she said that she got a letter from CKC stating that there was a problem with the dams registration papers and she had to take them personally to the person she bought her from to have them sign it. She said it had all been straightened out and I would get the papers in a matter of days. She lies so well, I actually believed this too!

Well, 2 weeks later I called Crystal and no answer. I have tried calling her several times since and no answer from her. Once her 5 year old daughter answered and I could hear Crystal in the background say I had the wrong number. I know she still has the 415-455-1377 number because I just recently saw her ad in the paper for her German Shepherd pups.

Crystal raises many other breeds and I think she needs to have a suprise kennel inspection. Not once did I get to see where the pups were raised. I have sent a letter to Crystal's physical address to ask for half of my money back due to her dishonesty but I have had no response.
