These people targets american, british and other foreign visitors to Uganda
I am writing this as one of several international donors who wanted nothing more than to support vulnerable children and grassroots charitable initiatives in Uganda. We believed we were funding an initiative specifically created to protect vulnerable minors, build schools, and provide direct support to struggling gold mining communities.
Instead, our goodwill was exploited by a calculated fraudster named Geofrey Mutabaali (who goes by "Jeff"), currently operating freely in Kampala and Jinja.
Jeff gained access to our group by faking a romantic relationship with a dedicated international volunteer, speaking of marriage, and claiming a shared vision to lift up underprivileged children and gold mining families. He persuaded us to provide substantial funding, promising that the initiatives would build local schools, purchase vital equipment, and provide security and survival aid to the community.
Five independent donors stepped forward to back this cause. Between us, over £220,000 was taken:
• Donor 1 (myself): over £80,000
• Donor 2: over £80,000
• Donor 3: over £38,000 (their entire life savings)
• Donor 4: £20,000
• Donor 5: £4,000 (combined contributions)
None of the money went to help children or struggling miners. Jeff pocketed every single pound transferred to him. Every confirmation, certificate, and bank document we received was forged, accompanied by endless manufactured reasons to demand even more cash.
🚨 HE IS ACTIVELY TARGETING NEW PEOPLE RIGHT NOW:
Jeff is already linked to prior investment fraud cases in the United States and is operating openly in Kampala and Jinja. He specifically targets foreign volunteers, visitors, and Latter-day Saints (Mormon) Church networks. Just days ago, he was seen picking up new foreign arrivals at the airport to run this exact scheme on them.
We have gathered complete evidence: verified bank transfers, falsified documents, and extensive chat records. The files are being submitted to investigative journalists and the relevant authorities.
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST across Ugandan volunteer groups, church networks, and expat communities to stop him from taking advantage of anyone else's desire to help.
