Unsafe trailer

9/04 I rental a trailer to move my large tool box from my job in westchester to my home in sullivan county approx. 57 miles oneway. After hook up the trailer and leaving the lot I went approx 10 miles on route 17 east to find only the right trailer brake would work with the brakes applied and when the left turn signal was on the left brake would apply as the turn signal circuit was on. Causing the trailer and my truck to swerve on the highway. I returned the trailer 30 min later the rental center was closed so I left the trailer in the lot. I've rented for the rental center before and was told cameras monitor the lot when equipment was returned when the company was closed. I asked for a refund the next day 9/5 was told by Brandon that he would have to talk to the manager on monday about a refund. I called mondy and was told by Brandon that I would not get a refund and was told to do what I have to do to get my money back. I called discover card and disputed my case and was refunded. Owner Jeffery Sternberg told discover card that I returned the trailer sunday 23 hours later and used the trailer. This is not true because I was in a flatbed moving my tool box sunday morning. Jeffery Sternberg has lied to discover card several times calling my chargeback fraudulent and that I used the trailer when the proof is all in Mr. Sternberg video system. I have contacted the Better business bureau of ny and complained about Jeffery Sternberg and the retal center of monticello. For renting equipment that is dangerous and unsafe.
