Video Connection
Sucks

I haven't set foot in a video connection in about 7 years.
After frequenting one of their establishments in Toledo, Ohio for
one and a half years, I was scammed on a visit.
I came in to rent a video one day. The clerk told me I still had a
video checked out. I exclaimed, "no you're wrong. I returned that
instructional sports video a week or so ago. She said, "no you
didn't, my monitor says so." I told her to go look on the shelf
because they only owned one of that particular tape. She wouldn't.
I turned and went to the shelf and their it was. I pointed to it
from across the room to prove it to her. Her is where it gets
ludicrous. She purported that I came in the store and placed it on
the shelf, without settign off their alarm. I told her maybe it's
more likely, being the longtime customer in good standing that I
was that I returned it on time and they forgot to check it in
before putting it back on their shelf. She still was a clueless
clerk and wanted to disagree with me. I told her to get the manager.
When the manager came over the clerk told her story and I told her
mine. The manager said that if the clerk said that is what
happened then that must be what happened. I couldn't believe the
manager, who recognized me from being in there once a week, was
willing to ruin my customership for a lousy 10.00 dollar late
charge. The manager said, "you owe us a 10 dollar late charge." I
said I'm not paying that for your store's disorganization." The
manager said if I didn't she would turn me into the collection
agency and ruin my credit the best she could. I paid her the ten
dollars and never stepped foot in a video connection store again.
I wish the owner or owners could see a copy of this assanine story.
I repeat to many people when the opportunity arrises. The store
location is the corner of Sylvania ave. And Secor rd.in Toledo,
Ohio. Beware.
