Harrassing phone calls with hollow threats!

My home equity loan was sold by BOA to GT 2 years ago and its been hell ever since. Every month, Josh from Green Tree calls me (several times a day) the first day after my payment due date (24th of the month) to harrass me for my payment. Everytime the conversation goes the same way - I get paid on the 30th or 31st of the month and I will mail my check then. My payment clears the 4th or 5th (no late fees can be assessed for 15 days). Josh usually begins yelling at me, telling me I'm late, yada, yada. I inform Josh I have a 15 day grace period before late fees can be assessed, and my payment will be sent in before the grace period is up. The last month of the quarter Josh gets even more abusive.

As such, I now make it a game. I date my checks the 1st of the month before I mail them out. This past week, Josh told me if I don't pay before my due date that Green Tree was going to default my loan. Funny, I said to Josh, my loan agreement says I have to be 30 days late in order for it to be in default. Josh proceeded to tell me that is not correct and threatened me with a default judgement and eventual foreclosure. These guys must think I can't read. I told Josh if they attempt to default my loan I will sue them for Breach. He then started yelling and I hung up.

This outfit has not interest in developing a relationship or working with you. If my home wasn't slightly underwater, I would have refinanced my loan with my local credit union. Stay away for this Company!
