Credit Card Scam? - account billing

I like Lowes. I have spent a lot of money at Lowes in the last few years. On credit.

It really is MY fault. I goofed. I entered my payment into the check register. But I forgot to enter it into my online bill payer. So, I goofed. I have already sent the penalty (and payment in full) into my next month’s schedule. So, we are soon to be all square. I am truly sorry to have forgotten to make the June payment.

The problem is, I am thrifty. CHEAP It hurts enough to pay 24.99% interest on a charge account. But to pay a $25.00 penalty on a $25.00 (minimum) payment is mind numbing. Even the Mafia doesn’t even get that much. My thrifty side rebels at these outrageous charges.

I shouldn’t trust myself with your credit card. If I don’t follow the rules I deserve what I get? Right?
I actually do have a good credit rating. And I value it. I see only one solution. I need to close my account. From now on, it’s cash only at Lowes! So I will surrender my card and ask that you forgive my tardiness with my payment.
