Not forthcoming, bad business practices

Beware renting a property from this company. This was the worst experience I have ever had in dealing with a property manager, and I have lived and rented and owned properties all over the world and have NEVER had a problem or such a negative experience. I dealt with a difficult, evasive, untruthful, and in the end deceitful property manager. I could not get him to commit to a walk-through check out of the property (he cancelled on me twice) and when I refused to just drop the keys off and he would get back to me on any deficiencies he became insulting, and suggested that perhaps I had something to hide, since I would not agree to what he wanted. (he lives 2 doors down from this rental property) I assure you, we met every "cleaning demand" required, although this list was not given when we signed a lease, to include a professional cleaning of the carpet and proof of such with a receipt. This home was left spotless and I took many pictures in case of a dispute. However, he came back to us and said that there were 3 light bulbs burnt out and that he would deduct it from the security deposit! I had replaced every burnt out bulb, but we took the light bulbs and provided them to him. (He never did follow through and commit to a walk-through) This was just the culmination of other things that he did, but too lengthy to address here.
But finally, which I think will drive the point home about this company, is that after I received my security deposit back (the entire deposit) I inquired why I had not received my interest on my security deposit as required by Ohio state law, via e-mail. He never responded, however, I received a check several days later refunding that interest that he never would have given me, if I had not looked up Ohio Landlord Tenant laws, because of his deplorable behavior! But he was going to charge me for 3 light bulbs! All of this is totally ironic, because if you go to their website it states, "If you prefer honest service rather than hype just touch base with us and we will provide you with a level of service that you deserve. Guaranteed. Trust is never granted, it must be earned.
Very interesting, since I received just the opposite!
