Poor customer service - GE Side by Side refrigerato

I purchased a GE Side by Side Refrigerator in April from Lowe's along with the extended warranty. Since then I have had to call a technician out roughly four times about this product. My last issue has been an intermittently freezing water line on the refrigerator door. When the technician from Metro Factory Service came out he told me to hold a hair dryer up to the interior of the door for roughly 15 minutes to thaw out the line. He did this and it worked. He offered me NO other options. Well since then my warranty has expired and the problem has become progressively worse. Im using this technique once a week and I don't think this is fair. I called GE to advise them of this defect, which appears to be common based on other forums, and was told that I should have been offered a heater to be installed in the door to resolve this issue. I am now one month out of my warranty and Lowe's does not want to honor my warranty even though I complained about this issue when I was still covered and the problem was never resolved. I spoke with a very unforgiving and insensitive supervisor at Lowe's named Carrie #151760 who basically said I should've known better than to accept that as a solution. Well I didn't. Im not the expert here and I thought that was the purpose of them sending out professionals. I asked if she could assist me in rectifying this issue now and she told me no because I am out of warranty. I've spent a lot of money in Lowe's and this situation has completely turned me off from ever doing business with them again. They are not the only home improvement store around. My next step is to contact the corporate office because I think Lowe's should value their customers more.
