Oren Harris at 4 Ever Green Took My Money and Ran

On December 31, I contracted Oren Harris, III of 4 Ever Green Yard & Tree Service to remove two trees from my property which were damaged that same day by severe winds. Mr Harris and two associates (one a relative) cut and hauled the debri but did not have the equipment necessary to remove the tree stumps. Mr. Harris explained that the equipment needed was expensive to rent but agreed that he would return and remove the stumps within a month.

Unfortunately, at Mr. Harris' request, I paid him the full agreeed price of $900 by check on December 31st with the understanding that he would complete the job by February 1st. Mr' Harris had performed yard work for me in the past and I had no cause at the time to doubt his sincerity or honesty.

My wife called him in late January to determine when he would come to remove the stumps and he told her a week or two. When it didn't happen, I attempted to reach him by phone more than six times in February leaving messages on how I could be reached. These calls were placed to his business number (703-829-9803) and to his cell phone (540-219-3473). He never answered his phone or returned my calls.

As it is now early April, I can only assume that I have been ripped off by a liar and a cheat.
