Rancho Sierra Apartments - Phoenix, AZ
Very poor experience!

Real Estate

I was disabled for 3 years. I was in a wheelchair when we moved into this apartment complex. This particular apartment complex has a lot of disabled people in it.

We lived in a one bedroom, because we could not afford anything else until my Social Security Disability came through. After 6 months we moved into a 2 bedroom, we lived there for 18 months. We had normal usage of the apartment, having a cleaning lady come in every 2 wks. Paid for by my Bible Study. When we left, we were billed $820.00 to replace the carpet for a 678 sq. Ft. Apartment. I believe that this is rather expensive for replacing carpet that can be done through a wholesale company. I spoke with the Manager, and also with the Leasing agent to find out if we could come up with a more reasonable fee like $600.00 instead of the $820.00. I was told that they paid $1050.00 for the carpet and they would take nothing lower then the $820.00. I found them to be uncooperative and lacking in any understanding. They Managers of the apartment were much more then difficult while I was living there. They took down handicapped parking places and refused to put them back up until I called the Police on them and the Police had a talk with them. They put them back up, but I had to fight with them for 5 months and have the Police come and talk with them before it got done. There was a constant fight with the office in supporting people that were not handicapped to be told not to part in the handicapped. There were very few empty parking places for any visitors that would come, except way in the back of the apartments. I had termites hanging from my bedroom ceiling which took awhile to get taken care of. It was a very poor experience and I am very sorry that I lived there for as long as I did.
