Main Street Commons was advertised as a 55+ community. New to the area as of May prospective tenants were told it was a senior community. They were NOT told that it allowed children to live in the complex (with a parent that said they were disabled), NOT told that they did not have any security available, NOT told they would not hire a cleaning company to maintain the building (they expect the tenants to do it), NOT told there would also be 20% Section 8, NOT told that the "Art Room & Game Room" were actually STORAGE CLOSETS that we could use for this purpose! The building itself has numerous structural issues even though it's barely 6 months old. When complaints are filed with the Management or Herman & Kittle, they are scoffed at. When we finally had the open house NO ONE from Corporate bothered to come support the Manager. The list is very long with many of the 70+ residents ready to vacate! In May there will be a mass exit from this place when 1 year leases come to term. Do not be tricked by the "special offers" of 2 months free rent or the $250 gift card and 1 month free rent... NONE OF THESE OFFERS were made to the one's that moved in at the beginning!
