Empire Today issues abound - Estates living mahovic hickory laminate flooring

We had Empire today install our laminate floor 2 years ago. We've been pleased with the floor and the installation job. Recently we had a dishwasher leak and it ruined an area of the floor. We emailed customer service to see if I could purchase a bundle of the floor to fix it myself. It appears that Empire Today only carries the laminate flooring we have. They emailed us back saying we needed a sales rep. We called customer service and explained what happened and what we were looking for. They said they have to send a sales rep. Ugh!

The sales rep shows up on time but thinks he's quoting laminate for stairs? Really? We explained to him what the situation was. We needed to purchase a case of flooring or needed an estimate for the repair. I've already researched laminate flooring repairs and it can be done. He called his supervisor and the he told him how to quote, etc. He then gave us a quote for repairs. I told him at that time I couldn't commit because I was waiting on the insurance company.

He called later that week and I told him I was still waiting please let call me next week. Never heard from anyone again, until... Then December 22 a installer was calling to schedule my carpet installation. I didn't order carpet. So she said ok and cancelled everything. Umm?

When I returned home from holiday vacation I called customer service to schedule the repair and he said the order was cancelled but he would reinstate the order and schedule it. They day before the install he calls and states that they can't reinstate the order because it was misquoted and they don't do repairs. We have to have the whole floor replaced. Seriously? The repair was $1500 and the quote should have been $4000 more. They wouldn't reinstate the order. I told him to schedule a sales rep so I could get an estimate for the whole floor replacement so I could give to my insurance company. Guess what? I never heard from anyone again! Shocker!

We explained to everyone with Empire Today what we looking for and needed from the very beginning. 3 weeks later and they say they don't repairs? You could've just said that up front. I don't understand.

It's sad really, my wife was so happy with the floor install she wanted them to quote our upstars carpet. Lol!
