Oken fan - Vermont Castings Montpelliar wood insert

I have a Vernont Castings Montpelliar wood stove insert, it is about 4 years old. The right Fan started making a terrible sound, I took the fan motor out to find out the fans are made of plastic and the right fan melted so that it was rubbing the outer housing. I was very disappointed to find the fans made of plastic.
