Chase Mortgage
Lender refuse to HELP!

My loan with Chase dates back to with a 5 year arm at 7.999%.in May when I saw trouble in view with making my mortgage payments I called Chase and
requested a Loan modification to lower my monthly payments, I was told they would, but I need to send them 1,225.00 first to start the process. The money was sent and the process begin, every week my husband or I or both called to check the status of our modification and was told it takes time and we would be notified
when done, so we waited 1 month before calling again, and again its in process.

It is now August and we are getting really worried no word from Chase. We began calling weekly, still no answer, in Oct I call and I was told the Modification was completed in Sept. Mind you are payments are due the first day of each month this is now Oct 5th. Seeing we are already two months behind being no fault of our own I then asked if the two already late payments could be pushed to the end of the loan, I was told a flat no, and then I was told the only thing they as "Chase could do would be to place me on a payment plan, not only can I afford an additional amount added to an already too high mortgage which later this week was told by Gus in the foreclosure dept I never received a loan modification but a loan reset. Which lowered my payment by 87.00 dollars after sending in 1,225
to pay for processing, I ask you if you were told this is the amount you would receive as a decrease would you send the 1,225 as a payment or would you take the 87.00 decrease, if you had been notified. It seems good sense by anyone that you would send the 1,225 toward your mortgage not to them for a decrease from 13393.00 dollars to 1224.00 dollars.
