Middletown Police Force
Stolen Jewelry

Politics & Government

My grandson, Brandon Rudie, was homeless and he came to live with us til he got straightened out. During his stay, he stole a diamond ring valued at $4490 and a tennis bracelet valued at $795 and a few drugs. I checked the pawn shops and was told that they had to report to the police any jewelry that was pawned. I called the police department and made a report of this stolen jewelry and who stole it. A year later Brandon came to the house, said he had learned how to be honest and told me he had pawned the ring at Richie's Pawn Shop but did not know what he had done with the bracelet. I called the police department and th first this pulled up was a pawn ticket with Brandon Rudie's name on it for a diamond (marquise) ring. They checked Richie's to see if it was still there. It had been sold. They told me I could not recover this ring. I would like to do something about this - I have the bill of sale for it. I did not sell it. Can you help me?
