New Jersey E-Z Pass
Toll rip off / mis information

I called the E-Z pass customer service asking to close my commerical account, not trouble, i asked what could i do with the transponder since i had to pay for it, they said it was mine to keep i paid for it.

I asked what would i have to do to get one for my car they responed pay 20.00 dollars i asked why? She said because i needed a new transponder but i already have one can i use the same one from my commerical account for my passenger vehicle she said sure.

So off she went and took off my 18 wheeled tractor trailer and added my 4 wheeled 1995 ford windstar van and verified all the vehicle info, after all the thank you's and so on, o'sir did you want to leave the 25 dollar debit from your checking account? Yes i do i said well here we go!

Two weeks later i get my E_Z pass bill they raised it from 25.00 withdrawl to 125.00 per day bouncing 5 checks cause of the withdrawels the customer service person never told me that even if i change from a 18wheeled commerical truck to a 4 wheeled passenger vehicle i still have to pay the tractor trailer rate! (Why in good gods name would i want to do that???)

I went to the service center closed my commerical account filed a complaint to request a refund and a removal of charges, It took E-Z pass 2.5 months to get back to me after i called them over and over again they said that i was due no refund and i owed 580 dollars in charges
I have since file a complaint with the BBB, dont do business with E-z pass thy have an F rating from the BBB
