Reused to press charges against corner who took mothers jewlery, and refused to make charges against person who knocked me down, on my property

My mother passed away in the corner took it upon herself to take my moms jewelry, and money from her purse. Then said she did not do this. But i have police reports saying that she did take the items, Tehn i rented my moms house out to a so called friend. With the understanding that her, her daughter and her daughters boyfriend could be the only ones to live there. When they got behind on the rent i went there to tell them they had to move. Big guy came out of my moms house and ordered me off the property, when i asked who he was he said he had been living there since he got out of jail, about 2 months. He then knocked me down, and i had my cane with me, i am disabled. A firend had bought the cane for me, for protection, it had a swarod in it. Not sharp, but when he knocked me down, it broke, and out came my swoard. I then went to pick it up at him, when i did, i saw my moms face and she said (no honey) at the same time my boyfriend was helping me off the ground, the same guy was about to hit him in the head with a hammer. I asked the police to arrest him, they informed me they would have to arrest me also. I said ok, that i would get out. At the same time i told police i was hurt, but no medical help was called. And the friend i rented the house to, told the cop about our verbal aggremet about who could live there. Yet police still took no action. As i was leaving, the guy who knocked me down, pointed to me like a gun, and said he would get me. They still done nothing to him. I went to the hospital on my own. All of this was in police report. But for some reason they still did not prss charges against him. When i finally got them out of my moms hose, they had destroyed the house, human feces, and busted walls. But still they would do nothing. So i guess my Question is, To who do i go to now. I cant trust the police, but i have took out papers on the corner... Any ideas?
