Help. They Sold My Lockers

I had a verbal agreement to come in and take care of my balance, i was using the lockers for 2 Years and I fell behind. I lost Job, Was involved in Flood in Iowa and Explained to them. My family does not have money but we made random payments. 2 weeks ago I called and they said that it was going to auction but They Promised That IF I PAID IT IT WOULD BE PULLED. I couldnt come up with $1200 They wanted But came up with Half that. The MAnager told me that To not worry that to Get The rest come in Friday. Said nothing about a New Auction date. Usually it Takes 30 days and a Notice of record so i thought. I called today and find out that Last week they SOLD everything. 2 lockers exceeded Value of 15k easy. I need to help get a Civil Suit against whomever Bought it if they wont give me back Just the personal item. They can keep everything except the un-replaceable ones like ID card, Birth Certificate, SS card, Checks un written and Bank records etc. What should i do / What are my rights in NY state? Mike
