Customer Service is a ripoff, terrible communication, withholds public information

June - I moved into the neighborhood, never received any type of welcome, newsletter, pool key, anything from HOA board until next year when it was time for dues.
April - started trying to contact HOA about pool key, newletters, meetings, anything! No response, so no pay dues!

July 25th - HOA board files lien against me for the amount due to them past due. Still no response from HOA board.

April - several attempts via email were sent to HOA board AND managing agent for the HOA inquiring about financial statements (time to see what they spend our money on). Financial statements were withheld from me with the excuse that I did not have my dues current with the HOA. These documents are supposed to be readily available to the public.

May 10 - I caved in and paid the outstanding amount to the HOA in hopes they would stop playing games with these secret documents. I was told by office worker that lien release paperwork would be filed that week and mailed to me within 30 days.

October 13 - called HOA and inquired about missing lien release paperwork. They said they'd get it mailed to me by the end of week.

October 14 - HOA board actually files lien release paperwork, on day after I call to ask about it.

November 1 - Emailed Property Management (Neighborhoodsplus.com) inquiring as to why it took 5 months to file release paperwork; property management forwarded email to HOA board members.

November 14 - decided to file complaint with BBB because of past experiences and still no response as to why lien release paperwork was not timely filed.
