Lost Contacts - Lg Optimus

I have the Lg Optimus from metro, i got to say its the worst phone ever along with metro's service, i lost all my conatacts and everytime i try to re-add them it still says i have no contacts. I've only had the phone for about 8 months. I am taking the phone back to the store if they do not somehow repair the phone ill probably switch to a different phone company.
