Earlier this year, I called Microsoft (or so I thought) and somehow got the phone number for Infotechline. "John Matthew" assisted me by telling me he found hundreds of compromised items within my computer and that he could eliminate them all. Some scary stats were flashed on my screen (I gave him control... Never do that!), and I freaked. So, I paid him the money and he 'fixed' my PC. 10 months later I got another call from him and he asked me if I had installed any software recently. Well, I had. So he did another 'free' scan and now found more than 5000 issues. As he was highlighting a warning about 'rensomwere hacking tool' he went to an FBI website that called out 'Ransomeware'. When I noticed the misspelling, I closed my PC down and asked him to get out of my system, and hung up the phone. I just hope he did not do any damage in the 10 minute window where he was in my stuff. But, I'm sure the timing is such that he did. So, BEWARE with this company. I will try to recover the earlier money I spent, because I believe this company is scamming.
