ATT Custermer SVC SUCKS!

After 27 phone calls to AT&T in regards to my internet service, they sold me a service thru ConnecTech to assist with highly technical solutions if their own DSL group was unable to resolve an issue. I was charged 55.00 on my credit card and could access this service for 5 days. Well, the tech’s are in India somewhere and the largest part of our conversation was me saying “I’m sorry, but I can not understand you”!!! Needless to say they were unable to fix my problem and basically said it was my computer. Keep in mind I have had this service for 4 years and NEVER had an issue until now.
I phoned back for the 28th time and spoke with a level 2 tech who again could not fix the issue. I asked, What does it take to get a technician out to my home??? They said it would be another 49.00 if the problem turned out to be my issue and not theirs. At this point I just wanted to be DONE with ATT.
The technician comes out and keys in the WEP key code and poof it is fixed. I said ok so I owe you 49 dollars for 3 seconds of work? He proceeds to tell me that I owe 149.00 because I initiated the call out. HOLY SH_...
Called about the invoice and they tell me to HOLD, HOLD, HOLD… No minutes left on my cell plan thanks to ATT….

01/25 9:00am Tech support showed up – keyed in WEP number from motum. Took 3 minutes. Came back with an invoice for 149.00.
01/26 9:00 Melvin – Told him about the 149 bill. He said he could see the invoice but could not do anything about it until I was billed.
