This company was found on the web and used to hire a van for a one day period spanning 29th/30th October. It wasn't made clear that the company was just an agency who used independent hire firms throughout the uk. The hire went ahead and was ok, with the van delivered and picked up without problems. The problem arose with a £200 deposit cashed from our account. We understood the deposit would be held on a 'pre-authorisation' basis, (usual for hirers) and cancelled after 24hrs. Nationwide, as agent, confirmed this fact. After 9 days the money has not been returned, despite many many phone calls to both Nationwide and the supplier, UK VANS & MINIBUS HIRE of Warrington. We would seem to be the victims of a scam. Your reply would be appreciated.
