After purchasing an item online from ARGOS:

SHOPPERDISC.co.uk (biller name) withdrew 10 pounds from my credit card, details of which I thought I was providing ONLY to ARGOS.

Apparently, the SHOPPERDISC.co.uk charge is supposed to be for "membership" to their company (their email address is: customerservice@shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk).

I did not knowingly subscribe to any membership whatsoever, never mind a paid membership. I did accept an offer of a discount on potential future purchase at Argos - thats all.

I had no idea any charges would emanate from this offer.

I will never shop with ARGOS again!
Have written to the scumbags at the "discount" company and they are giving me the runaround.

I see from hundreds of postings online that this scam has been doing it for YEARS. How can it still be going on? What's wrong with our laws? Those running the show should all be in jail.
