Best Buy at corporate level engaged in fraud concerning representation of manufactures open box warranty

In my case as a victim of this fraud. I had purchased an open box macbook and was assured by managers (plural) that all open box item with no exceptions are covered by the manufacture at the full warranty as new. The same day after intial purchase I purchase a 1yr geek squad policy that had its own warranty. This had absolutely nothing to do with any doubts that was promised to me by all mangers and employee involve that intent of use was first to provide tech service. That the item would be fully covered by Apple as if it was new. That is a lie. Open box items are as is.in other words they may or may not be covered and Best Buy has ZERO say on that. My laptop had expired and was no long eligible to any extension through apple care

Apple policy was confirmed by a customer relationship representative speaking on behalf of apples offical policy.

This information was passed to a supervisor of Customer relationship who accepted speaking on behalf of corporates position on this matter.in this coversation I made every attempt to assure it was understood that it was not cover as expected and that this was company wide issue. (I had contacted 3 other random store in US to confirm that everyone said that ALL OPEN BOX ITEMS would be cover 100% by manufacture no exceptions)

I am continuing to fight this and may be looking to engage assistant legally. This is a very common situation that Best Buy has refused to address.

Best Buy has refuse the following remediation

I had offered as remediation that I be return the money spent for geek squad service and I be allowed to opportunity to purchase at the same cost and length of time the 3 yr warranty at same cost as apple care.

I then asked if I could then exchange for a macbook of equal specification I could then get same new warranty through apple

At this point i have requested apple to speak with Best Buy so Best Buy have the official position from Apple and separately I requested Best Buy contact apple so there be no more confusion.

I am not confident that Best Buy would contact Apple nor if so would change its corporate policy..

I am currently looking for assistance in this matter. This is a known issue that Best Buy has refused to this point to correct.

I have omitted the names and contacts and other supporting evidence such as case number submitted to both apple and best buy. I am keep this until the correct representation presents itself.

I am very serious about seeing Best Buy be held accountable for their actions.
