This company recently contacted me concerning a past due invoice and claimed that my clerical employee authorized the service to advertise online. I advised these people that our clerical personnel have NO authority to purchase or contract any services or products. They claim they had a "tape recording" of the authorized transaction and they are well within the legal requrirements to collect a debt and that under UCC-2-4.3 that telephone authorizations are legit.
I was already experiencing this same problem with my other company about a past due bill for $746.80 from Online Public Yellowpages located in New York and was battling with those "harassing" calls and then what a surprise I get a call from a Nathan Forbes from Pre-Legal with Online Public YellowPages threatening to take legal action against my company for "non-payment" and a week later I get a call on my other company business from guess who? Nathan Forbes from Pre-Legal now this time from US Public Yellowpages supposedly located in Henderson, NV. I asked if he was affliated with Online Public Yellowpages, he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about and claimed that I must have him mixed up with another company and claim he was not affliated with Online YellowPages. Whatever, these two "yellowPage" companies are "clever scam artists" having the same people calling and disguising themselves to be representatives of either Online Public YellowPages or US Public YellowPages. I have already filed a complaint against Online Public YellowPages with the FTC and the Div. Of Consumer Protection (DCP)- NY State Attorneys Office I will be filing the same charges against US Public YellowPages in the State of Nevada as that is what they are showing as their address location. I may file a complaint for "mail fraud" with the US Postal Service as I received mailed invoices after the "harassment" calls.
