Starr Law Group said they would handle our loan modification.in their words, "you don't want to represent yourself in this situation. A law firm gets things done that you can't." They said they don't take these cases unless they feel confident they can win. They also said that if a bank representative calls, refer them to the law firm. Do not correspond with them personally. After 14 months of continually sending documents to Starr, we are told that the bank has denied our request and we should think about a short sale or such. So what leverage do they really have and what is just sales hype. $2100 paid for a law firm to just relay documents to the bank. We could have done that ourselves for free. Beware.
