Miscellaneous

Received a fax with From: 000J To: (our business fax #). Fax contained really great deals on vacation opportunities with outstanding prices. Prices were too good to be true - literally. No company name or logo on fax. It did have a couple of toll-free numbers (1-888-412-3190 and 1-888-845-2761) Called and spoke to "Scott Parker" and asked for a website. He gave me "Travel Consultants, International" as the company name and encouraged me to look them up on the web. I did and immediately noticed several problems. First, his name was not listed as one of their consultants. Second, the toll-free #'s listed did not match the fax. Third, the business manager has been with the company 10 years. Fourth, a toll-free # beginning in 1-888 could not have been issued 10 years ago. Fifth, the toll-free #'s on the website began with 800 and 800 numbers were still being issued 10 years ago. So, I called the numbers on the website and a lady answered. I asked for Scott Parker and learned he does not work for them and that their fax is a scam.
