Ude employee and very long wait

Today, I took my 76 year old handicapped mother to the local family dollar store to get some treats for our dog, when we got in line the cashier was waiting on an elderly man, he had a coupon for his cat food, she could not get the register to accept his coupon, while the line keeps getting longer, also, she is ALONE working the store, she called someone on the phone, not getting it resolved, she makes another call, after 30 minutes the man says to cancel the sale and help the others in line, she ignored him for about 10 more minutes. Rudely saying she was on with the manufacturer and wouldnt hang up. She finally got off the phone and cancelled the sale to help the rest of us, by now there are about 15 people in line, several others just left the store in disgust. When it was our turn, i told her that i hope her day gets better, and she actually glared and groweled at me. If any other store in town carried my dogs favorite treats, i would never shop in that store again. We expect this to be delt with immediately, we were there at 11:17 am, on 10/17/12
