I received a call from The Tech Care, claiming to be a Service Provider for Microsoft Windows and that my virus protection had expired. I gave them control of my P.C. To remove the virus, they had installed 8400 malvare incidents on my PC. They also changed my picture/photo program. I have lost my ability to post a photo. They are now hidden. I phoned Microsoft they said this is a scam. I called the number provided by Austin, 1-857-366-7172 told him this was a scam. He said no he provided a sevice. But he lied. He said He would return my $149.95 if I would give him my credit card to pay him $250.00 and he would send me a check for $410.00. WOW.
He said his company can only send out checks for over $400.00. Can you imagin anybody falling for this second scam. They installed Picasso (photos) on my computer. Photos now not working. Also installed Defrager which disabled my defragger already on my windows program. As a parting shot they changed my printer on the screen from black to gray.
Disabled my defragger, changed my pictures so they no longer can be downloaded. Ralph H.
