Miscellaneous

Numerous windows popped up on my computer that looked like legit Microsoft warnings saying that my computer security had been compromised. Could not open any program because of the "Microsoft" warnings and got prompted to purchase Microsoft virus and spyware protection. The charge was $73.73 CDN.

My brother did this and immediately, was sent an account # to download the antivirus and/or antispyware program. Immediately after, the warning windows vanished, but now the computer has been infected with the conserv. Dll virus and other spyware which Norton is unable to remove. Pop-ups for Russian porn and Work-From-Home scams constantly appear.

I have contacted Mastercard and was told to get an official statement from the computer repair shop, on paper with the shop letterhead, detailing that the viruses were installed by VideoCaverPro. One that letter is sent to Mastercard, they will dispute the charge as fraudulent as there was no antivirus or antispyware program installed, only malicious junk.
