Kay Jewelers just wants money - Necklace, ring, watch

Boy do I have a lot to say about Kay Jewelers! I have bought a ring, necklace and watch from Kay. I had the ring resized because the original size 7 fits my thumb. They made the ring the wrong size and refused to do anything about it so I had to pay to have it resized a second time. We were told the watch was solid gold and stainless steel. A few months later the gold started to wear proving that it is actually gold plating but they just claim that they never said it was solid gold. The watch also has to be reset every month because it doesnt keep time correctly. Our latest issue that has put me over the top is with my necklace. The chain recently broke and when we purchased it we were told that the extended warranty we purchased covered the entire necklace (chain and pendant) but now that the chain is broken they are telling me all they can do it sauder it for free. It is broken in the front so saudering it will just make it look ridiculous but after arguing forever I gave in and had it saudered. A few weeks later I picked up the necklace, tried it on infront of the sales clerk and realized it was a whole 4 inches longer. My 18" chain some how turned into a 22" chain and they are trying to tell me that it streached when saudered. (BS!) I am so done! I thought with the warranty I would be able to get a brand new 18" white gold chain but instead im stuck with this ugly saudered chain with burn marks on it. I am calling corporate as we speak & will not rest until I have a new 18" white gold chain in my hands!

We have learned our lesson. It has become apparent that Kay Jeweler employees will tell you anything you want to hear to make a sale. Once thy sale is made they don't want anything to do with you. We will NEVER purchase anything from Kay again and I officially feel obligated to ruin this company like they have ruined my chain. Please post your Kay Jeweler nightmares too. Everyone deserves to know what they are getting themselves into when shopping at Kay Jewelers!!
