I just connected service with Time Warner today. This was only accomplished after about five hours spent on the phone with them off and on Monday. There were two old bills under my social, one I was aware of and one fraud. Rather than do the police report and take extra time I decided to just pay. I also had to pay the first bill in advance and all the installation fees and what not. I then recieve a phone call today informing me that my ex-roomate that had cable here previously, had an outstanding bill of $400 and needed to return the equipment and if all of this was not taken care of in 10 days I would be disconnected. Well if I am disconnected due to an issue that is beyond my control, I do hope that they are prepared to frefund my card for 20 days as I have already payed for 30. TWC could have a great customer that pays their bill on time every month, or they can lose business due to their stupidity on this matter. Refusing to accept my business and my money just doesn't seem like very good business sense to me.
