Walgreens - failure to honor $25 RX transfer coupon - Walgreens Pharmacy 17222 S. Golden Rd., Golden, CO 80401

I recently called the Walgreen on S. Golden Rd., in Golden, Colorado, to make sure that I would be eligible to receive a $25 gift card if I transferred a valid prescription from Safeway. After being told that I would receive it, I had them transfer & fill the RX. When I picked it up, they refused to give me the coupon. I have private insurance from Aetna/Medco, NOT through the gov't. I was told that there were "restrictions". When I read the coupon, I saw NO restrictions that pertained to me. I feel that this is a blatant case of false advertising and I intend to follow up with the DOJ and consumer advocacy groups. Walgreens has already been fined almost $ 8M for illegal inducements and got caught. Maybe they need to be fined again for false advertising! The store mgr, Joel Nelson, did NOTHING.
