Apparently i purchased an item on or about 1975 for $2,000 and my wife foolishy kept paying $40/month at 26% interest. I have asked the bank for details. I have sent 5 emails to the ScotiaBank president but have not received the courtesy of a reply. Irequested an amicable, non prejudical solution to the issue.

I consider it usury when i could get a personal loan for about 10%

I did not know about the issue until i returned to Canada after an absence of 18 years.
