AKA The Federal Institute Of Government Grants RIPOFF! Promises 8K FIRST

(803) 022-0013 phone # called several times a day before I finally answered. A woman was very confident in assuring I would receive $8K before a $257 fee is processed on a certain date they give you. Also, I would receive a package of forms to fill out and send to the govt. To explain the reason for this grant and possibly being able to receive up to $25K.By the way, that phone number won't go thru if you try to call it back.

The agent says it takes 5-7 business days to process the $8K to your account. The verification dept. Recording says you only have 3 days to recind the offer. The agent says 'don't worry, you will receive the funds', and 'the worst that could happen is if you don't pay the $257 then we will take back the $8K'.

The verification dept. Gives you (800) 595-2304 for customer service. When I called this number to cancel, after the 3-day recind but before the processing date, they insisted there was nothing they can do. They had no manager, and didn't care that the 'sales' agent falsified all the information.
