The management here at Windrose Apartments, and at Excel Residential Services Inc., claim to provide a nice, clean, safe enviroment, but the truth is that they fail to do so. Myself as well as many other residents have repairs that have been needed in their units, some for as long as 6 months to a year, that have not been done, or completed to satisfaction.

They promise you they will get to it, but don't really care. The manager here will sweet talk you, tell you she will get after the maintenance workers, make another work order, or whatever it takes to satisfy you, but it does not happen.

Some repairs are done incorrectly or incompletely, causing future problem, or they will fix one or two items and tell you they will be back later to fix the rest, but they do not come back. What a joke.

We have items since move in not taken care of, multiple complaints, verbal and written, for repairs needed, still not done. The Corp. Office has a complaint number, which I called many times, but they have never returned any of my phone calls about these issues. We have standing water on one corner of my unit from the sprinkler box that has been there for the entire 17 months we have lived here. There is obviousley moisture, mildew, mold, or whatever in the wall because the drywall is bulging in areas, the paint puckers and falls off easily when rubbed against, and you can smell the mold in our unit.

My six year old and I have been ill several times since living here with this problem. I have a mold allergy which I disclosed up front prior to renting here, and even paid more for a unit with new carpet and flooring because of my severe allergy disease problems. My toilets have overflowed about 8 times and gotten the floor and hall carpet wet and the idiots refuse to snake it from the cleanout, they have tried to snake it from inside the toilet, which does not work, and they refused to have the carpet cleaned cause it wasn't that bad. Oh my God.

Myself and many other residents have mold in their units from water damage or standing water that they put off or DENY exsist, and are even willing to lie about in court. They are also stealing power from my unit and have know about this problem since Jan. and have reassured us many times that it would be repaired and we would be reimbursed without any problem, yet they failed to do so. I have reported this to Edison and the Sheriff Dept. And theyhave both informed me that I am completely in the right here and their failure to complete repairs and reimburse us shows intent on their part.

After informing them that i would plan on filing a lawsuit against them, they turned around and sent us to eviction. Get rid of us, get rid of the problem. I had a huge amount of evidence to prove my complaints, but the Manager here lied under oath and penalty of perjury, and she stated & claimed these problems did not exsist, and that all repairs had been completed, and that the power theft issue dosen't exsist and that I was nothing more than a liar and trouble maker.

The Judge, chose to turn a blind eye and deaf ear to my evidence or complaint and ruled in their favor. Now we have to move by Oct. 14, and we now owe them money if you can believe it. When I told the judge that if he refused to order them to rewire/repair the electrical outlet outside that is wired into our unit that they would pass it off and steal from the next struggling family who rents it. The judge told me it wasn't my problem, not to worry about it, that I was planning on moving anyway so what did it matter.

Why would I want to waste my time and energy on this? I should just go on with the move out of state you are planning and be done with it, it's not your problem! Well then who's problem is it? I told the judge that in good morality, honesty and integrity that I couldn't do that. I stated to the judge you mean to tell me that even though they have violated the laws, stolen electricity from us, and now wanted to screw us over, that your not going to hold them accountable for that? How can you do that?

Well Obviousley he chose not to, and he did not. I can't turn my back on future residents of this unit, or the current units who have families, babies, children who are getting sick from mold illness, and have been for six months or more, despite complaints and notifications to the management. *Can Someone Please Help Us. Don't let them get away with this rip off.
