Mike Buell has done some light landscaping work for me in the past. Never had a problem with the work they did. Mike contacted the week before Easter and I told him that what I needed was mulching, edging and a flagstone walkway which is in my backyard and extends from one side of the house to the other. The mulching and the brick edging for the walkway is completed. What is left is placing the flagstone adding mulch and a ground cover in between the stone. The work is still not completed. He kept making promises to show up but did not. The last time I saw him was May 8. He told me that he had money problems that is the cause of delay but everything is ok now. Mike asked for the final payment and promised to show up the next day and will complete the job to my total satisfaction. Like a fool I handed over the last check. That was the last time I saw him. Repeated calls mostly went unanswered. On the calls that he responded to said that he has truck trouble and promised he would complete the job. All I have is his cell number. He worked for Akehurst Landscaping. I went their and left a message for his supervisor. I just wanted to know if he is still working or alive. He was but just gave me more empty promises. I called Akehurst today and was informed that he has been laid off. Can you help me? The job cost me $8,000.
