Improperly installed wall, walkway & patio and did not finish job. Expected us to pay remaining 3rd without finishing nor repairing

Aaron D. May, May Brothers Landscaping was hired to do a small retaining wall, walkway and patio. He stated he could finish project in 7 to 10 days from start date. After 8 weeks of mismanagement, Mr. May showing up sporadically to do work and failure to return phone calls he was fired and told he was not going to receive final payment. He had already been paid $5,375.00 in the first two weeks of the project. His work was not done to manufacture's specification and has to be taken up and re-done. Retaining wall was put together with road spikes, paver stones in both front walkway and back patio have sank and heaved from improper base preparation. He then proceeded to take us to small claims court for the remaining balance of $2,375.95 "Plus interest and costs". His attorney tried to extort and extra $1,000.00 from us to have them drop the case. We won the small claims case, but still have to pay someone else to repair and finish his work which will cost us more than what we owed him to have the job done properly. Do not hire aaron d. May, May Brothers Landscaping for anything other than raking leaves or mowing lawns - If he will show up for that!
