EBay
Refunded buyer $184 from PayPal for damaged gauges not returned

Miscellaneous

I've been selling on eBay since 1997 with over 7000 transactions under my belt, both buying and selling. I sold a set of motorcycle gauges to a buyer in canada through ebay - transaction number 360467416313 on July 28th. They claimed the gauges arrived broken and filed a complaint with eBay. I filed an insurance claim with the USPS. The Canadian Post was not cooperating with the USPS and the claim process was dragging on. Ebay decided just to return the buyers complete payment to them on August 10 and took $184.00 out of my Paypal account to gave it back to the buyer. I filed several complaints with ebay but they never respond. Now, the buyer in Canada has my gauges, they have the complete payment of $184.00 and they have the refund check from the USPS insurance claim. I have no recourse against the buyers since they are dishonest but Ebay owes me the $184.00 that they Stole from mt Paypal account.
Normally, eBay requires that the damaged item be returned to the seller BEFORE a refund is made. My gauges were NOT returned to me and the buyer ended up using them anyway. Now, I am out my $184, my gauges and my refund check from the USPS. I want ebay to return my $184.00 and one half of the issuance money from the USPS.
