My name is Chris Meredith. My son Travis, case # 10000108295 was a student at JCTC. He signed up for classes in the winter/spring semester of 2012. He was unable to attend that semester so he visited the admission office on January 10 to drop the courses in time to avoid being responsible for the tuition. They ran him all over the building but never to the person who could drop the courses. I returned with him on Jan. 20, and they ran us both through the same runaround finally getting us to the right person after trips to 5 offices. On July 28, my son received a letter saying that his debt had been turned over to collections and that they may seize his property or wages. We have paid the collection company $852.90 but feel that we are due a refund due to the fact that the problem was caused by JCTC's shoddy business process.
