Machol & Johannes state they are lawyers ~ it's a collection agency that DOES NOT abide by the law! I have dealt with them before and have NEVER been served! All of a sudden ~ my wages were garnished ~ no warning / no chance to make my debt right! I did receive a couple of calls from M&J and called them right back concerned because as far as I knew ~ my account was all paid off. The gentleman looked me up on the computer and said I was correct ~ everything was paid and he would make sure to take that "automated" phone message off. My papers state I was "served" on 8/3 at 11:40AM! How could they serve me when they didn't even have the correct address? Stated they "served" me at Xavier St. (was not there) I have a new address. I would like to see the papers they served me! This is a false service. I was a process server and know by LAW they have to "put them in your hand and state you are being served on behalf of M&J". I want to know HOW they get by with not giving the people their rights by LAW!!?? This is a ruthless company that will break the law if they have to and still state they are attorneys! I am diabetic and have gone without my meds for 2 weeks and will have to go at least 2-3 more months to get them because of a garnishment I was not notified of! I would have gladly made payment arrangements if I still owe them ~ I think it was PAId previously. What a RINK-A-DINK place Machol & Johannes is!!
