Miscellaneous

I am submitting this complaint on my daughters behalf: she owns a 2004 Nissan Quest van, the timing chain is so worn out that the van is not driveable. The engine is the 3.5 liter, all known to have premature timing chain failure. This van has been dealer diagnosed that includes an estimate of 2500.00 to remove the engine, repair and reinstall. The essence of my complaint is that with an inherent problem Nissan will not offer any assistance and has not upgraded the replacement parts only to expect a recurring problem in the next 100k's. It is a nice van, to good to park in the driveway and yet to costly to repair.
