Eceived a txt msg stating I won an apple product, thought it was a promotion generated from my phone company, was directed to an auction page and decided to browse. Was told i was entitled to one free bid and won what i bid on. Received a receipt stating that, although I paid in full the item wouldn't be shipped til I emailed them a copy of my credit card (front and back) copy of my passport or drivers license, and a credit card form (that u have to download from their page). Immediately called the number provided and told them i wasn't sending them any of my documents or personal info and that i wanted to cancel the order. I was then informed that I had to pay a cancellation fee of 54.00 or pay a membership fee of 89.99 for 3 months. I told them they were crazy, that there was no way I was paying them money to cancel an order i wasn't going to get anyway because i wasn't sending them my doc's. I cancelled my credit card and reported the company to the CAFA. I'll fight these pigs no matter what. Don't take it laying down, report, report, report. Don't be ashamed of being taken in stand and fight that's the only way people like this can be stopped!!!
