On 17 August, in Sainsbury's Store in Alperton (London - UK), I have bought two bottles of wine of Jacobs Creek under the visibly displayed offer of "mix and match" two bottles for the price of £10 (GBP), only to find out later that I have been charged by the shop’s cashier two separated prices of £7,99. So I have been overcharge £5,98 (almost 60 % over the promised price).

I asked the store’s counter manager, Mr Neil, for explanation and he told me that I should have taken only white wine, not the red and white. When I have pointed on advertising display with mix and much offer and showed them my PRESS CARD, another member of staff [Mr Rauf (?)] took the display and called the security officer, accusing me of causing the disturbance in the shop.
The Sainsbury's company was at the wrong doing, but it was me who was escorted to the doors by the security causing great embarrassment as many local people have witnessed this event. I have received no apology or any explanation why this misleading offer has occurred. Was it a calculated “con offer “ or some mistake on the system? How many other customers have been cheated on that offer, who did not spot the overcharge on the final bill and what happened with all that money cheated on them.
