Miscellaneous

In a previous scam notice on this website, I recognized the name Ron Carpenter from State Acquisitions Corp. This is the same person who
is suppose to be arranging with a local title
company in Tucson, Arizona to close on a purchase
agreement for my 10AC parcel in New Mexico. I sent
them a check for $1,138.00 for title and service fees with a copy of the agreement signed by an agent Peter Ricmond back on May 12.
It was suppose to have closed back in June 14-15,
2012. I was asked to send in another $1,002.00 by
Ron Carpenter to close by August 14-15. The check was sent on July 20, but was returned
in my mail as undeliverable last friday. There has
been a change in there corporation address as of this time. Stupidly, I re-mailed this check which is on one of my balance transfer bank credit card offers. This time, I sent it certified mail. However, realizing that this is a "land Scam" from your website of complaints. This morning, I was able to put a "Block" on my credit card account earlier so that this check cannot be honored or cashed. I will try to recover the first
sent money of $1,138.00, and if necessary file complaints with the Attorney General's offices in the 3 states involved (Arizona, Florida, and New Mexico).
